Excess Telecom offers a variety of talk, text and data service plans including the Essentials and Flex Unlimited plans. Excess Telecom contracts with IM Telecom to allow qualified subscribers to apply their Lifeline benefits to Excess Telecom branded plans (“Excess Telecom powered by IM Telecom”). Qualified subscribers may apply Lifeline discounts powered by IM Telecom to Excess Telecom’s service plans. Lifeline is a discount telecom program overseen by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is another FCC program in which Excess Telecom participated that provided discounts on monthly telecom service plans. The ACP ended as of June 1, 2024 due to the U.S. Congress not providing additional funding to extend the program. Essentials and Flex Unlimited are prepaid plans offered by Excess Telecom that require a monthly service plan fee.
