Important Message about your California LifeLine Enrollment with IM Telecom

Your California LifeLine discount benefit was recently enrolled with IM Telecom due to a processing error. We apologize for this inconvenience. We have identified and fixed the cause of this error. The purpose of notifying you is to explain why this happened and ensure you are enrolled with your preferred California LifeLine service provider.

You are being asked to select one of the options below by 1.22.2025.

If you don’t make a selection during this period, your California LifeLine benefit will be de-enrolled from IM Telecom.

What Caused This Enrollment Error?

Your Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) benefit was enrolled with Excess Telecom when the program ended as of June 1 of this year. To help ensure you continued to have access to talk, text and data service with the ending of the ACP, Excess Telecom performed an outreach campaign to its former ACP subscribers in California offering them the opportunity to enroll their California LifeLine benefit with IM Telecom.

Who is IM Telecom?

Excess Telecom contracts with IM Telecom for subscribers to apply their California LifeLine benefits to Excess Telecom branded plans.

This is referred to as “Excess Telecom powered by IM Telecom”. This is why your California Lifeline benefit was enrolled with IM Telecom and applied to an Excess Telecom branded plan, in case you didn't recognize this California Lifeline provider.

To ensure you receive your California LifeLine benefit from the provider of your choice, please make one of the following selections by 1.22.2025. If you would like to review your current plan, visit your My Account page. You may also review IM Telecom's Terms and Conditions before enrolling.
